🎯 Your Objective: Maintain a stable and balanced savanna ecosystem for as long as possible. Prevent extinctions and avoid overpopulation that depletes resources!

How to Play:

Enter your name and use the sliders on the Setup Screen to set the initial number of animals and trees.

Once the simulation starts, use the Dashboard Controls to influence the ecosystem.

Press the Hunt button to become a hunter. Right-click on the terrain to move. Your mouse controls the aim, and you fire by pressing the Spacebar. Press ESC to stop hunting. Be careful! Hungry lions may see you as a meal.

Z,A,W Mating: Controls Zebra, Antelope & Warthog reproduction. Higher rates = more prey & plant consumption. Lower rates = slower growth.

Elephant Mating: Controls Elephant reproduction. Elephants consume many leaves; manage their numbers carefully!

Predator Mating: Controls Lion reproduction. More lions = more predation. Fewer lions can lead to herbivore overpopulation.

Predation Rate: Influences how often lions successfully hunt. Higher rates are more effective. Setting this below 1.0x will cause lions to starve.

Simulation Speed: Adjusts the overall speed of events. Useful for observing changes more quickly or slowly.

Hunt Button: Spawns a hunter you control. Right-click on the terrain to move. Your mouse controls the aim, and you fire by pressing the Spacebar. Press ESC to stop hunting.

Stay Daytime: Locks the simulation in daytime lighting. Uncheck to experience the day/night cycle and see the stars!
