The future is like an image loading on a very slow internet connection. At first, you can see a couple of dots appearing. They have a shape, but you have no idea what it is; slowly, the image becomes more detailed as it loads. Then, the image has been seen for a moment, and you move on to the next image in your feed. That image is now part of your past. I find myself in just such a position where I can see only a few dots. The rest is still indeed a mystery.
THE DOTS I CAN SEE:
- A flight ticket to Bali for Wednesday
- Luggage
- Accommodation for five days in Ubud (Think - Eat, Pray, Love)
- Visa for 30 or 60 days on arrival (we'll see)
- Some ideas of locations in South East Asia after that, probably Malaysia
Figuring out where the road will take us is like driving in the dark. You can only see what is in the headlights unfolding as you go. Sometimes, you need to choose a path and follow the light. But, ultimately, as humans, all our paths lead to the same place.
