Editorial Guidelines & Contributor Guide
These guidelines are designed to help you understand our mission, target audience, and preferred editorial style. Whether you are a scientist, a photographer, or an experienced journalist, we invite you to help us document the natural world.
Our Mission:
Conservation Mag aims to be a voice for the voiceless and an amplifier for those protecting our planet. We bridge the gap between science, policy, and public engagement. We promote responsible nature travel not just as a hobby, but as a powerful tool for funding conservation and fostering deep environmental connections.
Who We Reach (Our Audience):
We reach a dedicated annual audience of 45,000+ nature enthusiasts, photographers, educators, and scientists. Our readers are highly engaged and look to us for authoritative, hopeful, and actionable content.

Magazine's Editorial Style:
- Authoritative & Engaging: We champion scientific rigour blended with vivid narrative. We want "Field Notes"—stories written from the mud, the hide, and the hiking trail.
- Hopeful & Action-Oriented: We move beyond "doom scrolling." We seek stories that celebrate success, ignite optimism, and offer concrete steps readers can take.
- Visual-First: We believe photography is a conservation tool. We encourage photo-rich essays that transport the reader.

- Field Notes & Features: In-depth explorations of ecosystems, written from personal experience.
- Conservation Journeys: Following researchers or rangers into the field.
- Photography Guides: Technical and artistic tips for ethical wildlife photography.
