Hi Everyone,
I am excited to share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
As many of you know, photography is one of the most powerful tools we have for conservation. It bridges the gap between science and emotion, and it documents the world we are fighting to protect.
That is why, on
March 1st, 2026, we will be launching the official
Conservation Mag Photography Awards 2026.
This isn't just a competition; it is a global search for the visual storytellers—scientists, rangers, birders, and macro enthusiasts—who are documenting our resilient planet.
The 2026 Categories: We have designed five categories to cover the full spectrum of our natural world:
- Roaming Free (Wildlife): Mammals, reptiles, and aquatic life in their natural habitats.
- Wings in the Wild (Birds): Celebrating our avian diversity.
- Small Worlds (Macro): Insects, plants, and the details often overlooked.
- Vital Habitats (Landscapes): The ecosystems that sustain life.
- The Human Element: Conservation in action and the intersection of people and nature.
Why Enter? While we aren't offering cash prizes, we are offering something arguably more valuable for your portfolio: Legacy and Exposure. Winning images will be featured in Conservation Mag (reaching our 45,000+ annual readers), showcased to our network of environmental educators, and archived in our 2026 Digital Yearbook.
Get Ready: Entries don't open until March 1st, but you can read the official rules and prepare your portfolio now.
