Ecosystem Safari Simulation: Ideas for Improvement

#63
Our Conservation Mag Ecosystem Simulation is designed to show the complex math behind predator-prey relationships, but we know it can always be more realistic.
We are looking for feedback from gamers, students, and data lovers to help shape the next version of this tool.

Tell us what you want to see next:
  • More Variables: Should we add weather events (droughts/floods) that affect the game?
  • New Species: Currently, we track the standard herbivores vs. carnivores. What other dynamics should we simulate?
  • Found some bugs? Please let us know.
Let us know what would make this tool more useful for you.

The one thing I think we should consider adding, but I am not so sure how, is a way to alternately protect the trees from elephants. Currently, I feel the game requires or leans too much towards culling.
Alternate strategies in real life include:
- Move or close water points
- Protect the trees from elephant damage
- Contraceptive administered by the hunter
